Right let’s talk about ‘Whiplash’. Well first thing to mention that since filming this review, JK Simmons went on to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor! So if my opinions of this film aren’t enough to sway you to go see it, then just think about seeing an Oscar winning performance!!
Written and Directed by Damian Chazelle, this movie takes you into the unrelenting world of high achieving musicians at a top music school. It gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, ‘practice makes perfect’, I mean, how many of us would literally bleed for our art form?! This movie is intense, this movie is thrilling, this movie has no doubt given the lead, Miles Teller the balance he needed to show what an amazing actor he is, outside of the Divergent franchise. The music is top notch, the script is great, go see this film!
