TUNEFUL TV INTERVIEWS – THE CONNECTORS

I met Danny from The Connectors randomly. I was in Camden hanging out at my friend’s café, when this Jimi Hendrix look-alike (that’s Danny) bounds up to the door and asks to leave his flyers there promoting his forthcoming gig at the Barfly down the road. I was obviously taken by his look (all leather jacket, badges and bandana) and promptly asked him if he was an Afropunk, to which he replied “Yes!” You don’t even know how happy that made me! Danny went on to give me the links to their music and personally invited me down to the gig.

I went home and listened to their stuff.  To say I was blown away by their music is a bit of an understatement. It’s not that often I hear something and immediately (dare I say), “connect” with it, but that’s exactly what happened with The Connectors. Raw energy, pulsating drums, screaming guitar feedback, and vocals that will give you an Iggy Pop/Kurt Cobain love child vibe! Aarrrgghh! Right up my street I tell you!!

So I had to take my camera along to the gig and introduce you to these guys! Here they are, Andy and Danny from The Connectors!
