So The Voice moved from the BBC to ITV!! Let’s just get that out of the way first of all! Mention the elephant in the room as it were! I thought this move was the perfect opportunity for ITV to really jig things up a bit. You know, freshen up what was becoming a bit stale and predictable over on the BBC, but they pretty much kept to the same formula. The same coaches in the form of Will.i.am and the reinstated Sir Tom Jones. Only one female coach, that was Jennifer “JHud” Hudson and then Gavin Rossdale, lead singer of Bush came in to fill the chair of the “Rock” coach. Emma Willis even came back as the host of the show, just this time sans Marvin Humes.
I, on the other hand, felt like I needed to freshen up my approach to reviewing the series, giving you the audience the choice to just watch my reaction to the artist you were interested in. So instead of making long videos, I addressed each contestant in their own video. It was ok but I kinda underestimated the work load that went into each video…wow…wont be doing that again*!!

*By the way, I’ve decided that this year will be the last year that I do in-depth reaction videos to The Voice UK. The honest truth is that it’s a lot of work and not many people are viewing these videos. That added to the fact that I feel I’ve said everything I could possibly say about the various auditions, I feel that it would be more enjoyable for me and for you, if I took a new direction. Therefore next year I might look at certain Blind Auditions if you really want me to, but my aim is to make more general videos about The Voice, for example: My ideal coach line up (spoiler: it doesn’t include Will.i.am or Sir Tom Jones) my favourite ever Blind Auditions, my favourite emotional performances, my favourite voices in general…etc. I hope you’ll like it!!
