A friend of mine said to me outside a gig, “If you like [insert band name here], then you’ll love Skinny Girl Diet!” I can’t remember the name of the first band she mentioned – let’s just say I was pretty tipsy at the time – but thankfully I did have some of my wits about me and promptly opened the Notes app in my phone and typed in, “Skinny Girl Diet!! – check out this band!! xx” (yes, I give myself kisses when I’m drunk!)
The next morning I found Skinny Girl Diet online and was completely blown away! I went to their gig at the Hackney Attic a few days later and was not disappointed. The excitement I was feeling after the show was how I imagined people felt when they saw Nirvana on the rise! I think Skinny Girl Diet have the potential to be one of the UK’s most important rock bands and I’m so happy I get to introduce them to you now!!
