Long live the Eurovision Song Contest I say!!
The Eurovision has always been a part of my life ever since I was a kid. I remember it being a big event in my family where we’d all sit around the telly with our personal score sheets and watch each country take to the stage to impress their international audience. I remember Terry Wogan’s dryly delivered commentary keeping us all entertained and I remember hoping there would be at least one country going home with the dreaded “nil point”!! That was pretty mean but I somehow found it hilarious! I would almost always fall asleep before the winner was announced and most certainly was woken up to the fact that the UK didn’t win AGAIN!!
Once I moved out of my parent’s home though, I kinda stopped watching the Eurovision, only really because I was mostly out when it would come on or I’d just forget that it was even being broadcast.
Fast forward to now and the fact that I have a music blog, it became clear to me (albeit really last minute) that I should venture back to what was once one of my yearly highlights, and take a look at where the Eurovision Song Contest has come to!
So here it is! Check out the playlist below to see my reactions to some (not all) of the entries to the Eurovision Song Contest 2014!
